Stream Quality Profiles & Output Limits

Blaze supports different quality output profiles for streamers, based on your account and stream routing. These determine what quality options viewers can select.

Available Output Profiles

  • 1080p Output — viewers can watch up to 1920×1080.

  • 720p Output — viewers can watch up to 1280×720.

  • Source Only — only the original stream quality (your encoder’s output) is sent to viewers.

The profile you’re assigned affects your allowed settings. If you’re not sure which one you have, check your Streamer Dashboard or contact support.

Source Only — Required Encoder Settings

If your stream is set to Source Only, your encoder must follow these limits to avoid playback issues and ensure smooth delivery:

  • Maximum Video Bitrate: 3500 kbps

  • Frame Rate: 30 FPS

  • Resolution: Any (but typically 720p or 1080p, per your preference)

Important: Do not exceed 3500 kbps or 30 FPS when Source Only is enabled — higher settings may lead to buffering or dropped frames for viewers.

How These Profiles Work

  • 1080p / 720p Users: Blaze will generate multiple quality levels so viewers can choose what works best for them.

  • Source Only Users: Only the raw feed you send will be available — no adaptive qualities are created. That’s why the bitrate and FPS limits exist.
