Stream Quality & Output Settings on Blaze

Updated over a month ago

Blaze assigns different stream quality output profiles to streamers to ensure a smooth and reliable viewing experience. Your available output options depend on your account and streaming setup.

Note: Your maximum streaming output profile may change from time to time based on platform capacity and technical requirements. Blaze does not guarantee a fixed output level for any channel.

Available Stream Quality Profiles

Your channel will be assigned one of the following output profiles:

Default Mode

  • Viewers can only watch the original stream quality (“Source”)

  • No additional quality levels are generated

If your channel is set to Source Only, you must follow the encoder limits below.

To ensure stable playback for viewers, Source Only streamers must configure their streaming software with these limits:

  • Maximum video bitrate: 3500 kbps (suggested: 3000 kbps)

  • Frame rate: 30/60 FPS (suggested: 30fps)

  • Resolution: Your chosen output (do not exceed 1080p(1920x1080)), (suggested: 720p, 1280x720)

Exceeding these limits may cause buffering, dropped frames, or playback issues.

Why These Limits Exist

When Source Only is enabled, Blaze does not create lower-quality versions of your stream. This means viewers receive exactly what you send from your encoder.

Keeping bitrate and FPS within limits ensures:

  • Smooth playback for viewers

  • Reduced buffering and lag

  • Better stability across different network conditions
