Votes on Blaze are epoch-based.
At the start of each new epoch, your vote allocations reset — they do not carry forward.
What Happens Each New Epoch
When a new epoch begins:
- Your previous vote allocations reset to 0
- You must submit votes again to support creators in the new epoch
- Any votes you submit in the new epoch become locked for that epoch
How to Change Votes (Within the Same Epoch)
Under the cumulative locking system:
- You can increase your votes during the epoch
- You cannot decrease, reset, or remove votes once submitted
- Passes used for voting cannot be unstaked until the epoch ends
To add votes:
- Go to Voting
- Increase your allocation (whole-pass units only)
- Submit to lock your updated total
When Changes Are Blocked
During the final 1 hour before the epoch ends, voting is locked:
- ❌ You can’t submit or change votes
- ❌ You can’t activate/deactivate passes
You’ll see “Voting is locked” in the UI.
