Blaze operates on weekly epochs with a fixed schedule and strict locking rules to ensure fair and transparent voting.
Epoch Schedule
- Epoch start: Sunday at 00:00 UTC
- Each epoch runs for one full week
Spotlight Fund Payout Timing
Monday is the intended Spotlight Funds payout day for the completed epoch. After the epoch ends, Blaze reviews the results and completes the required eligibility and integrity checks. Payouts are released once these checks are complete, typically within 2–3 days after the epoch ends.
Voting & Pass Locking Rules
When You Vote
- Once you submit votes during an epoch, those votes are permanently locked for that epoch
- Passes used for voting are also locked and cannot be deactivated or unstaked until the epoch ends
- Votes cannot be reset or reduced after submission
Lock Window (Final Hour)
During the final 1 hour before the epoch ends, the system enters a lock state.
Disabled Actions
- ❌ Activating or deactivating passes (staking / unstaking)
- ❌ Submitting or changing votes
What You Can Do
Before the Lock Window
- ✅ Submit votes
- ✅ Increase your vote allocation
- ✅ Keep your existing votes unchanged (they carry forward automatically)
During the Lock Window
- ✅ View your current votes and rankings
- ❌ Change or submit votes
- ❌ Activate or deactivate passes
