What is a Backstage Pass?

A Backstage Pass is Blaze’s participation NFT that lets fans take part in the creator economy; not just watch.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

With Backstage Passes, you can:

  • Vote for Verified streamers

  • Earn a share of streamer revenue (20% to voters)

  • Help decide who receives Spotlight Funds (weekly streamer incentives)

Backstage Passes are how Blaze turns support into real impact.

Why voting matters

On Blaze, voting isn’t cosmetic. It directly affects streamer incentives.

Your votes:

  • Decide which Verified streamers receive Spotlight Funds each week

  • Help creators earn more visibility and momentum inside Blaze

  • Put you in position to earn revenue share from the creators you support

If you want to meaningfully support a streamer on Blaze, voting is the main mechanism.

Streamer incentives: Spotlight Funds

Spotlight Funds are Blaze’s weekly incentive pool.

  • Distributed weekly (each epoch)

  • Vote-based

  • Only Verified streamers are eligible

  • A streamer can receive max 10% of that week’s funds (anti-gaming cap)

This means fans don’t just watch creators grow — they actively help fund them.

How Backstage Pass voting works (simple rules)

  • There’s only 1 type of Backstage Pass

  • 1 pass = 1 vote

  • Votes are not splittable

    • If you have 2 passes, you can allocate 1 + 1 across streamers

Votes can carry over across epochs unless changed/reset.

Do I need to activate my pass?

Yes. Passes must be activated (staked) to vote and earn revenue share.

Important:

  • Activated passes cannot be transferred

  • If you deactivate (unstake) any amount, your votes reset and you’ll need to vote again
